On New Year's Eve 2010 I went to Bieszczady. I lived in the smallest village in Poland called Serdnie Małe. It is a 40-minute walk through the forest from the village of Polana. It is located on the northern slope of Otryt. The place is remote. There is only one farm in the village - the stud farm of the Smoleński. They breed Hucuł horses very well adapted to the harsh conditions of the Bieszczady Mountains. The area is full of wild animals. During several trips I met herds of deer, roe deer, and bison. I mainly photographed winter, snowy landscapes, which I haven't had a chance to see for several years.
